Keep Them Cold, Keep Them Dark, Keep Them Dry.

Lyophilised peptides stay stable for years as long as you respect the temperature, light, and humidity envelope. Once a vial is reconstituted, the clock starts.

Lyophilised Vials (Unopened)

  • Temperature: 2–8 °C in a refrigerator that holds a steady temperature. Under those conditions most compounds stay stable well past 24 months.
  • Light: Keep vials in the packaging they arrived in. Some research peptides are photosensitive and lose integrity in ambient light, so the box is doing real work.
  • Humidity: Keep them dry. A desiccant travels in the secondary packaging — leave the vials in there until the moment you need them.
  • Before reconstitution: Take the vial out of the refrigerator and give it 10 to 15 minutes to reach room temperature before you add diluent. Once reconstituted, it goes straight back to 2–8 °C.

Reconstituted Solution

  • Temperature: 2–8 °C, standing upright, ideally on a middle shelf. Not in the door — that is the warmest and least stable spot in any fridge.
  • Light: The original vial handles most ambient light on its own. For longer storage, wrap it in foil.
  • Duration: Compound-dependent. The typical window is 14 to 30 days; check the individual product page for the specific figure.
  • Visual check before use: The solution should be clear and colourless. Cloudiness, colour, or any visible precipitate means discard it — do not try to filter or salvage.

Disposal. Treat used vials as biohazard sharps and route them through your institution’s sharps stream. Unused reconstituted solution does not go down the drain.
